LA CAUSA offers life skills training, support services and mentoring opportunities. Life skills training includes development of self-discipline, responsibility, financial literacy, and personal health. Participants also receive additional supportive services and basic counseling from a team of case managers and transitional coordinators. Additional support is provided to our participants by community members and alumni through our mentoring program. LA CAUSA is committed to helping participants become actively engaged in the formation of self-determined goals to enhance their personal and professional development.
As a leadership development program, LA CAUSA believes that our community needs more diverse, effective and locally trained leaders. It is important that, through their experience at LA CAUSA, our participants develop a consciousness that is socially aware of issues affecting their community.
