Green Building

LA CAUSA's Community Green Building Initiative addresses the high unemployment rates for young adults and the deplorable housing conditions for low-income families in East LA. Anchored in the considerable construction and youth development experience of LA CAUSA, and under the guidance of skilled and experienced staff members, young people rehabilitate homes owned by low-income families by using Green Building techniques. These techniques include the use of recycled building materials, low-toxic building and cleaning products as well as making energy saving modifications.
