Jeannette Duenez is from Boyle Heights in Los Angeles, California. She attended Los Angeles Unified School District public schools and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1995. She attended East Los Angeles College from 1997 to 2002 and received an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. Ms. Duenez continued her education at California State University, Los Angeles and completed her Bachelors of Arts in Social Work in June 2005. While completing her degree, Ms. Duenez chose LA CAUSA YouthBuild as her field placement internship for two quarters. After graduating, Ms. Duenez was hired full-time by LA CAUSA as a Program Manager. She coordinates the Life Skills Component for the entire program and assists with the GED completion component.
